TRP ACADEMY
The Positive Directions TRP Academy is a culturally responsive, peer-led, abstinence-based, therapeutic teaching community and transitional housing program. The mutual self-help community has a recovery orientation, focusing on wellness, coping strategies, prosocial living, and leadership development. The TRP Academy infuses a strength-based approach into the program’s culturally responsive guiding principles of Respect, Interdependence, and Accountability. The model embraces peer-to-peer support which creates a sense of family, and fosters a support network that reaffirms prosocial values and behaviors.

H.E.R. House Expansion (WTRP)
The Positive Directions H.E.R. House Expansion (WTRP) is a structured culturally responsive, peer-led, abstinence-based, therapeutic teaching community and transitional housing program for justice-involved women and children. This gender-responsive program is a partnership between Westside Community Services & Positive Directions Equals Change, for women. The mutual self-help community has a recovery orientation, focusing on wellness, coping strategies, prosocial living, and leadership development. The H.E.R. House Expansion infuses a strength-based approach into the program’s culturally responsive guiding principles of Respect, Interdependence, and Accountability. Participants will develop the skills necessary to take on challenges, overcome barriers, and become empowered to take charge of their health and wellness.

Program Length:

Eligibility: Priority is given to SFAPD clients, however, any adult justice-involved single, pregnant, or parenting women are eligible for program services.
BILLIE HOLIDAY STABILIZATION CENTER
The Billie Holiday Center (BHC) is a culturally responsive Reentry Navigation Center that provides stabilization housing and a rapid connection to next-step resources for justice-involved adults. Guests receive case management, reentry planning, assistance with permanent housing placement, benefits acquisition, and next-step resources including drug treatment, transitional housing, and services through the Community Assessment and Services Center.
Eligibility: The program is open to all justice-involved adults in San Francisco who are unstably housed, struggling with addiction or mental illness, and those being released from the San Francisco County Jail.
JAMES BALDWIN HOUSE
Located in San Francisco's Bayview District, the James Baldwin House is a clean and sober transitional housing program with onsite clinical case management funded by the Bureau of Justice Assistance
Program Length: 12 months
Eligibility: Clients of the San Francisco Adult Probation Department with a history of mental illness and homelessness.
THE MINNA PROJECT
The Minna Project is a 12-24 month, culturally responsive, dual diagnosis therapeutic residence with onsite supportive and clinical services. The program is a partnership between the Westside Community Services, UCSF Citywide Forensics, the San Francisco Adult Probation Department (SFAPD), and the San Francisco Department of Public Health (SFDPH). Participants receive clinical and case management services, reentry planning, and assistance with permanent housing placement.
Eligibility: The program is open to all justice-involved adults in San Francisco who are homeless with a history of substance use and/or mental illness. The program will prioritize adults exiting drug treatment programs, mental health diversion, and those from our Latinx community.
OUR HOUSE
Our House is a transitional housing program for clients of the Collaborative Courts. This clean and sober structured program focuses on maintaining participants’ recovery, learning effective coping strategies, and advancing self-sufficiency.
Program Length: 12 months
Eligibility: Clients of San Francisco's Collaborative Courts and other justice-involved adults
HER HOUSE
HER House is a structured transitional housing program for justice-involved women and children. This gender-responsive program is a partnership between Westside Community Services, Positive Directions, Sister’s Circle, and Solutions for Women and is funded by the San Francisco Adult Probation Department (SFAPD). The unique collaboration of four BIPOC community-based organizations draws from each organization’s expertise in recovery, reentry, and gender-responsive, trauma-informed services. Participants will develop the skills necessary to take on challenges, overcome barriers, and become empowered to take charge of their health and wellness.
Program Length: 12-18 months
Eligibility: Priority is given to SFAPD clients, however, any justice-involved single, pregnant, or parenting women in San Francisco are eligible for program services
NO VIOLENCE ALLIANCE PROJECT (NoVA)
The Positive Directions Equals Changes, Inc., NoVa Project is in conjunction with the San Francisco Sheriff's Office, a voluntary opportunity to change your life if you have served time in jail over the past five years for burglary or violent crime. With a NoVA intensive case manager, participants set goals to take control of your life’s direction.
SISTER'S CIRCLE WOMEN'S SUPPORT NETWORK
Sister's Circle is a transformative intervention program designed to educate and empower women to overcome the barriers of homelessness, domestic violence, substance abuse, sexual abuse, incarceration, chronic illness, and trauma histories. We help women to gain employment, housing, and apply to school or training programs. We also host events and provide needed supplies, such as COVID-19 supplies, hygiene kits, clothes, and household goods.
Daily classes offered at 1140 Oak Street, San Francisco, CA, from 10:00 a.m. through 3:30 p.m. A weekly class offered at the Community Assessment & Services Center (CASC) Building, 564 Sixth Street, San Francisco, CA.
